Job Description:
Position Overview: The Field Application Engineer (FAE) will serve as the primary technical resource for our customers and sales teams, providing pre-sales and post-sales support for our electronic products. This role requires a strong understanding of electronic systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to solve complex technical problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support:
- Provide technical guidance and support to customers on product specifications, features, and applications.
- Assist customers with product selection and integration into their systems.
- Customer Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their technical requirements and business needs.
- Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations to showcase product capabilities.
- Problem Solving:
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues encountered by customers during product evaluation and deployment.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to address customer-specific requirements and challenges.
- Product Development Feedback:
- Gather customer feedback and insights to contribute to product development and improvement.
- Advocate for customer needs and requirements within the organization.
- Training and Documentation:
- Develop technical training materials and conduct training sessions for customers and internal teams.
- Create technical documentation, application notes, and FAQs to support product knowledge dissemination.
- Sales Support:
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop technical proposals and solutions for customer projects.
- Assist in the preparation of technical specifications and quotations.
- Market Analysis:
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitive products, and market opportunities.
- Provide input for product positioning and market strategy based on technical insights.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Field Application Engineer or in a technical customer support role within the electronics industry.
- Strong knowledge of electronic components, systems, and applications.
Skill:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools.
- Experience with embedded systems and microcontrollers is preferred.
